Ombra di Caravaggio in Chelsea
office reception desk
In the heart of Chelsea, London, stoneCIRCLE has once again set a benchmark for excellence in the realm of custom stone craftsmanship. Our latest production, an office reception desk, serves as a functional workspace and a statement piece, embodying the ethos of innovation and elegance that stoneCIRCLE is renowned for.
The reception desk spans an impressive 5 metres long by 1.5 metres wide and is crafted from the exquisite Ombra di Caravaggio marble. Known for its deep, rich tones and captivating veining, this marble was meticulously selected by the designer for its artistic qualities, mirroring Chelsea's creative spirit. The desk's surface boasts a honed finish, providing a smooth, matte look that exudes sophistication, while the sides are finished with a rough, hammered texture, adding a tactile, visually intriguing contrast.
The designer's choice to marry the honed top with hammered sides creates textures that capture the eye and invite touch. This duality not only highlights the natural beauty of the Ombra di Caravaggio marble but also reflects the multifaceted nature of modern business environments - professional yet inviting, sleek yet approachable.
Soft, neutral tones of furniture are juxtaposed against the marble's rich hues, creating a space that feels both expansive and intimate. Seats in muted teal and deep red shades draw out the dark, elegant veining of the marble, while the wall panels in golden oak tones introduce a sense of warmth and organic texture, ensuring the space remains welcoming.
This project exemplifies stoneCIRCLE's commitment to blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. We believe every piece we produce should serve its functional purpose, tell a story, and evoke emotion. This reception desk in Chelsea stands as a symbol of our dedication to excellence and passion for bringing the unique beauty of natural stone into every space we touch.
