Ways of Working
To help things run smoothly it helps to understand how we work. We've tried to set this out clearly below, but if you have any further questions, please do contact us.
Placing an order
Once you've picked your stone, we can take your order. All prices are quoted ex-warehouse and subject to VAT. Please bear in mind for floor and wall tiles that you need to factor in a wastage of 10% for cuts and breakages.
Product availability
stoneCIRCLE offers a vast range of products and bespoke stonemasonery using natural stone from all over the world. We aim to hold in stock as many of the most popular types as possible and can source others as necessary. However over time quarries cease to operate rendering a particular stone unavailable. We always advise our clients of any such risk factors during the design phases so that the project can be completed without interruption.
Sample service
Stone is a natural material and therefore can vary in colour, veining and surface texture from block to block. We are able to provide you with small cut samples and will let you know if the stone that you have chosen is consistent in appearance or varying. For the latter we recommend that you visit us to view the slabs before they are cut.
Templating service
stoneCIRCLE uses the latest digital templating techniques that complement our software and CNC machines. It is important that the site is prepared for us before we arrive to template. We will tell you which areas need to be completed to ensure that your project progresses as smoothly as possible.
Turnaround times
We operate a modern production and planning system that, in most cases, allows a rapid 5 working day turnaround from templating to installation. Our networked diary system enables us to "see" where in the production process your project is and accurately predict when it will be complete.
Installation
stoneCIRCLE offers an installation service for most of the stone 'slab' work such as kitchen worktops and wall cladding. For tiling we know local tradesmen in Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey and will recommend one in your area with whom we have worked previously for you to contact directly.
The key to beautiful, long lasting surfaces is a perfect preparation of the site and we will gladly advise on the work that needs to be completed before we can install your stone.
Deliveries and collections
We use a number of different delivery methods and we will choose the appropriate one to ensure that your stone reaches you in perfect condition, on time and at reasonable cost. Of course, if you have a suitable vehicle, you are welcome to collect from us at the Shothanger works in Basingstoke. Goods collected at the works are then transported at the individual's own risk. Please ring to check on opening times.
Terms and conditions
All quotations, orders and invoices are subject to our terms and conditions. You can find these on the back of all quotations and invoices. They are also available here.
