Marble and Onyx in a London Private Residence
This private residence is situated in one of London’s more upmarket areas. stoneCIRCLE was commissioned by the architects to fabricate and install natural stone to all of the six bathrooms in the property, as well as the kitchen and bar area.
Onice Smeralda for the kitchen area
The French client chose different types of very distinctive onyx and marble for each room, creating some visually stunning and very distinctive interiors.
The guest bathrooms were in Palissandro Classico, Deep Blue marble, and Porturo and Giallo Siena marbles.

The master bathroom was in Jade Green marble. The centerpiece was a massive double vanity unit, composed of a top, heavy section curved ends, and drawer fronts, fabricated from matching slabs and blocks. The twin basins were carved out of a 200mm slab on a 5-axes CNC machine and then hand-finished by our masons. We machined the underside to lighten the piece as much as possible, but the whole thing still weighed half a tonne.

The finished piece had to be craned into place through a window when it was installed.
Unfortunately the owner of the car parked outside the property had not received the notification that the road was being closed. Luckily for us it was a Porsche so the delivery could go ahead anyway, as the crane fitted over it. We would have been stuck if it had been a Range Rover!
The walk-in shower was made out of the same marble on the floor, and book matched on the walls, with a built-in marble seat. A dressing area next to the door was also clad in the same marble, again book-matched on the floor, with the top section of the vanity unit continued across the top of the entrance area.
The kitchen sink disappears thanks to a lid in Onice Smeralda matching the worktop pattern
On the ground floor, the client chose Onice Smeralda, a heavily veined onyx, for the work tops and a kitchen island that creates a real statement. The kitchen sink even has a matching lid in the same onyx, allowing the whole of the island top to be used as a work surface.
Backlit Onice Rosa for the counter and rear wall of the bar area
The ground floor bar features Onice Rosa and Jade Onyx. The translucent pink onyx on the bar top and the back wall was backlit to make it glow, while the bottom shelf was in the contrasting green onyx. The design is carried through to the floor where discs of the pink onyx have been inset into the wooden parquet flooring.
