natural stone floors

stone flooring

Stone is a natural choice for flooring as it is practical, being easy to clean, and durable. It has been used for millennia, and the multitude of different types and colours of stone means that it lends itself to many different settings.

which material?

Choose granite for floors in high traffic areas, and kitchens to match or complement the worktops. Limestone is also often used as flooring in kitchens and throughout residential living areas.

Marble flooring is particularly suitable for anywhere that a sense of luxury or opulence is required. The different colours and veining can be used as a part of the design of the space; book-matching marbles with large scale veins for dramatic effect, or inlaying different colours of marble into intricate designs.

The surface finish can also be chosen to match the setting, with a sandblasted finish where slip hazards might be highest such as around a pool, and a polished finish for more formal settings.
